It has been a year since the ECQ was implemented in Metro Manila. The last day I was out when none of us knew that there would be a quarantine was time I was confused about the current events in my life at that time. Due to that reason, my mental health started to decline because I was not able to get the answers to the problems I was facing.
Fortunately, I was able to move on now. It was a very long and hard process but I’m glad to say I was able to pass on those. I’m still in the process but not as degrading as it was before. I feel freer and I feel more me. It is nice to be back to yourself and currently, I’m removing and letting go of things that hurt me before. There are times that I go back to where I told myself to move on because it is not good for my mental and emotional health. Whenever I do that, I try to relax and remove myself from the gadgets because it is where I became very anxious. After that, I try to exercise or stretch my body and then I feel better.
Quarantine made a huge negative and positive impact on my life. I lost some people, I let them go, I gained new friends, and I received the best award which is myself.
Another session of quarantine started today so, I will be celebrating my birthday again in quarantine. I’m turning 19 this 25th of March. I’m now an adult and ready for the adventure that awaits me.
